These terms govern your use of LazyPets, a macOS app by StoicSushi. By using LazyPets you agree to them. Because LazyPets is distributed through the Mac App Store, Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies; where these terms say more, these terms apply between you and us.
You get a personal, non-transferable license to use LazyPets on Macs you own or control, as permitted by the App Store terms. You may not copy, resell, or redistribute the app, and you may not reverse-engineer it except where the law allows this despite these terms.
The optional full unlock is a one-time in-app purchase, not a subscription. It is sold, billed, and refunded by Apple through your Apple ID; we never handle your payment. Entitlements are tied to your Apple ID and can be restored on any Mac signed into it ("Restore purchases" in the app's Settings). For refunds, use Apple's report a problem page.
An account is optional; LazyPets works fully without one. If you create one, keep your sign-in details safe and give us accurate information. Your synced content (tasks, website shortcuts, favourites, nicknames, and pet setup) remains yours; we store it only to provide sync, as described in the Privacy Policy. You can delete your account at any time from the app (manage window → Settings → Delete account). We may suspend or close an account that abuses the sync service, for example by attempting to disrupt it or to access other people's data.
Pets with "Attacks files" switched on move files you drag onto them to your Mac's Bin. Nothing is deleted outright and files can be recovered from the Bin, but you are responsible for checking the Bin before emptying it.
LazyPets is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not promise that the app or the sync service will be uninterrupted or error-free, and features that depend on other software (such as music controls for Spotify or Apple Music) may stop working if that software changes.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of LazyPets. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the consumer law of your place of residence, and if you are in the EU or another region with mandatory consumer protections, those protections apply.
If these terms change, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new "Last updated" date. Continuing to use LazyPets after a change means you accept the updated terms.
